signs of spring

I know it’s still winter, it’s the middle of February, but when we have nice days like these where the temps hit the hit 60s, then thoughts turn to Spring… especially when you see so many signs of it all around you.

Songbirds are singing.

Daffodil buds are almost blooming.

Geese are pairing off.

Pigs, like Brewster here, sunbathe in the afternoon.

Kitty cats are basking in the sun.

It’s staying light later… I took this shot at 5:30pm.

So I may be delusional, I may be setting myself up for a big disappointment in the near future, but for right now and today, I’m going to enjoy my Pseudo-Spring day.

  1. I know that these are from a while back, quite a while, but is that Dee Dee the barn cat? It can’t be Thumper, can it? He is a big ‘ol Tom. This kitty here even looks too small to be DeeDee. So what’s the story?

That is Thumper… all stretched out and playful. DeeDee is more solid charcoal in color. Will photograph him soon… 🙂
