the blades-bowers zoo

159JD, smiling for the camera.  Yes, you could say he is a ham, but we don’t use that sort of language around here.

164It was impossible to get a group shot with everyone in the shot, but this came close.

168Here we have people and dogs:  Bandit, Cha Cha, Clippy, and Roller.  Roller recently had a stroke and we thought he was going to have to be put to sleep, but he has a fighting spirit and as long as he keeps doing as well as he is, he’ll be with us a while longer.  He’s a 16 or 17 year old shepherd mix.

170Lukey the cat showed up to check things out, but he didn’t stick around.

181Here we have the lovebirds with the chihuahuas, Clippy and Cha Cha.

182185  Rudy Roach, the pretty black cat, and Lukey, the 21 (!) year old kitty with renal failure who may not be with us too much longer, but is going to have a very spoiled last Christmas this year.

188Pay no attention to the little elf sitting on JD’s ear…

All the dogs with Rich and Deb out in the yard.  Of all the subjects I worked with, Bandit was the easiest.  She’s the sweet yellow lab next to Rich.  She’s my buddy.

204212Yes, this is probably one of my biggest accomplishments this year… getting these two crazy kids together.

215Cha Cha… Deb’s favorite little fur baby.

216221Bandit… such a sweetheart.  We love this girl.  Definitely needs to come back to our house for another sleep-over.

It was fun taking pics to capture Deb and Rich’s first holiday season together.
