monday monday

I got a lot of little things done on Monday, so it was a very productive day.  Some things didn’t get photographed, including the dog walk (two dogs + one walker + one camera = disaster waiting to happen) and my nap, because really, how do I photograph while sleeping?  Truly, if you know, tell me, cause I could take so many more pictures if I could do that.  So here is a small bit of my day…

Designated the small tree in the kitchen window the critter tree.  It will be festooned with all the cute little animal ornaments.

Got a lot of my week’s pre-cooking done… sauteed onions, peppers, baked potatoes, roasted veggies.  Now omelets happen in a snap!

Played with Madison and worked on her repertoire of tricks.

Played with Mj as well and tried to get her more comfortable with the camera.

Caesar and the dogs had fun romping around together and spent a good deal of time in the backgarden despite the drizzley weather.

We got our Christmas tree.  Brittany and I went out and picked up this little guy for $10.  Yep, a ten dollar Christmas tree.  He’s a little naked now, but he’ll be getting all fancy very soon.

I’m slicing and dicing some onions, and you can see some of the fruits and veggies in the background that I later prepared… baked some apples, poached some pears, whipped up some guac, baked spaghetti squash.  Oh yeah, I’ve got it all going on.

Did somebody say muffins?  Made a couple batches of mini apple-cinnamon muffins.  Went a little crazy with the crumb topping, but hey, if it’s okay to color outside the lines then it’s okay to sprinkle crumb topping excessively.

Added a little more glitz to the dining room with some beautiful gold ribbon.  So very festive, and pretty when the lights are low and it’s only candles and twinkle lights aglow.
